Will Claxton

Claxton was born and raised in Swainsboro, Georgia. He attended Auburn University and was a member of the golf team. He majored in Economics and graduated in 2005.

Claxton turn professional in 2005. He was a member of the Nationwide Tour in 2011. During his 2011 year on the Nationwide Tour, Claxton qualified into the 2011 Transitions Championship, his first career PGA Tour start, where he made the cut and finished T-67 for the event.

In 2011, in his second attempt to earn a PGA Tour card through the Qualifying School, Claxton was in first place after the first four rounds of competition. He remained in the top-25 at the end of the week to earn his first PGA Tour card.

Claxton just finished his first full season on the PGA Tour. His highest finish to date is a T-5 at the True South Classic. He finished 117 on the money list with $780,969 in earnings.

Scott started teaching Will in 2010. After his first lesson, Will finished 2nd in an NGA Hooters Event. At the conclusion of the 2012 PGA Tour season, Will was ranked 9th in total ball striking.
