Steven Bowditch Wins and Locks Up PGA Tour Card

SAN JACINTO, Calif. — Australia’s Steven Bowditch fired a final-round 68 Sunday to earn his second career title, winning the $1 million Soboba Golf Classic. Bowditch, the 54-hole leader, birdied the first hole and eagled the sixth and was never seriously challenged the rest of the way, winning comfortably by three strokes over Utah’s Daniel Summerhays.

In a Golf Channel interview Bowditch stated he’s, “been working really hard with my coach, Scott Hamilton and its nice to see it paying off.”

TWO HOLES-IN-ONE IN A SINGLE ROUND!

June 3, 2010 | Scott Hamilton, Director of Golf & Instruction at Cartersville Country Club in Cartersville, Georgia made history by sinking two holes-in-one in the same day. While competing in the Georgia PGA’s Pro-Assistant Championship at Cherokee Town and Country Club Tuesday, June 1st in Atlanta, Scott made his first hole-in-one on the fourth hole of the South Course, knocking in an 8-iron from 161 yards. His second was on the 14th hole of the North Course where he hit his 6 iron 183 yards straight into the cup.

Student Jason Bohn Wins Zurich Classic

AVONDALE, La. — For Jason Bohn, the second time was even better.

Bohn won the Zurich Classic on Sunday for his second PGA TOUR title, birdieing three of the final four holes at TPC Louisiana for a 5-under 67 and a two-stroke victory over Jeff Overton.

“This is life changing,” said the 37-year-old Bohn, who admitted making his putt on 18 with tears in his eyes.
